Overview

One platform, two adhesive systems.

The Senmei paper tube labeling machine automates the full label-application cycle: tube feeding, glue application (water-based or hot-melt), label alignment, pressing, and discharge. Both the water-glue and hot-glue variants share the same frame and control platform, so a future changeover is a tooling swap rather than a new machine.

Choose water glue for paper labels and food-grade applications (SM520-LC series), or hot glue for high-speed lines, foil labels, and non-porous face stocks (SM600-HL series). An optional integrated recutter is available on the water-glue variant for converters running short-format tubes.

Working principle

How it runs.

Tubes are loaded into the hopper by an operator or upstream conveyor. A servo-driven pick-and-place arm transfers tubes one by one onto the indexing conveyor. As each tube reaches the labeling station, an optical sensor locates the seam, the glue head applies adhesive, and the label is fed from the unwinder and pressed onto the tube with a rubber roller.

The hot-glue unit uses a PID-controlled melting tank with a circulating pump and applicator head. The water-glue unit uses a sealed reservoir with a recirculating pump and a gravity-fed applicator. Recipe parameters — glue temperature, label tension, dwell time, roller pressure — are stored per stock and auto-loaded on the HMI. Optional integrated recutter on the water-glue variant cuts the labeled tube to length in the same cycle.
