The SM120-WD performs five discrete operations in a single cycle, eliminating the conveyors, transfers, and operator hand-offs that traditionally sit between them. On the integrated frame, Senmei stages:

• Inserting. Auto-feeding of corrugated board blanks into the forming station — no manual blank placement.
• Placing. Position the blank against the forming mandrel at the right angle for the round profile.
• Gluing. Apply adhesive to the side seam of the corrugated wrap, joining the blank into a continuous round body.
• Curling. Form the top and bottom rims of the round box — gives the wall its finished structural edge.
• Pressing. Final compression of the seam and rims to set the adhesive bond and lock the round geometry.

Working principle

How the SM120-WD runs.

A corrugated blank indexes into the inserting station on the auto-feed magazine. The placer positions the blank against the rotating forming mandrel at the correct angle for the round profile; the gluhead applies adhesive to the side seam as the wrap progresses. The curl head then forms the top and bottom rims, and the press head delivers the final compression that sets the bond and locks the geometry.

Operators configure the cycle through the integrated HMI, with recipe storage per box dimension. Tooling change between SKUs is recipe-driven — the operator selects the SKU code on the HMI, and the machine indexes to the right blank magazine, glue volume, curl profile, and press depth. Cycle counters, reject counts, and glue tank levels are surfaced on the HMI home screen for QA and operations.
